BEFORE YOU GO

  1. Do I need to take an Antigen Rapid Test (ART) test?

Yes.  “Back to Live” is part of a multi ministry pilot event, looking at bringing back the physical nature of events such as large-scale indoor live performances in a safe and secure manner. As such, pre-event testing will be required for ticket holders.  Everyone attending the event is required to have a valid negative Antigen Rapid Test (ART) or Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) result. This valid negative certificate must be produced together with your valid e-ticket for entry.  There are no exceptions to this.

  2. What is an Antigen Rapid Test (ART)?
An ART is a rapid diagnostic test suitable for point-of-care testing that looks for specific proteins, known as antigens, on the SARS-CoV-2 virus’ surface, and hence identifies individuals who are potentially infectious. A nasal swab will be carried out to obtain a sample from the lower part of the surfaces of both nostrils. Your ART result should be out within 30 minutes.

  3. What is the difference between the ART and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test?
The Ministry of Health (MOH) uses Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests as the definitive test for the confirmation of COVID-19 cases. PCR tests remain the most accurate tests available today. However, the process from the point of swab to the release of results takes about one to two days, which is not feasible for pre-event testing. Given the need for shorter turnaround time, the pre-event testing will be using antigen rapid tests (ARTs), which can return fairly accurate results quickly, within half an hour.

ARTs used in the pre-event testing pilots minimally meet the World Health Organization’s (WHO’s) recommendation of at least 80% for sensitivity and 97% for specificity and have been evaluated by MOH. This means that they will be able to pick up at least 80% of individuals who are infected with COVID-19 and will show a result of 3% false positives in healthy individuals.

For more information about pre-event testing, visit https://www.moh.gov.sg/docs/librariesprovider5/default-document-library/factsheet-on-pilots-for-pre-event-testing.pdf

  4. Where and when will I take the ART? Is it free?
All ART Tests will be provided free-of-charge for all valid ticket holders. It will be the responsibility of the primary ticket purchaser to provide the details for all members of their group, and each individual member will be required to take the ART.

All Two-Day ticket bundles will include on-site testing at Marina Bay Sands. These ticket holders will be required to complete the ART on both days from 5:30pm-7:30pm. If you are unable to do the test on-site you can visit a Designated Clinic to take the test.

All One Day ticket holders will need to book an appointment to undergo the ART at any one of the Designated Clinics. Tests are recommended to be completed on the morning of the event day and no earlier than 23:00hrs on the day prior to the event. For the full list of participating clinics, please click here.

Information regarding clinic details, and the appointment booking process, will be sent via e-mail no later than 48 hours before the event day.

  5. How long is the ART valid for?
The ART and PCR results will be valid for 24 hours from the time the test was taken and must be valid at the point of entry until the end of the event.  We encourage all participants to pre-book an appointment at an Approved Facility (One Day Tickets) to conduct the test on the same day.

  6. What do I have to bring in order to take the ART?
Ticket holders will need to produce: Identification (NRIC/FIN/Passport), Event Tickets and a Request for COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test invitation letter to receive a complimentary ART test.

  7. What happens if I test positive on the ART?
All positive ART results will require a mandatory confirmatory PCR test to determine if you are genuinely infected with COVID-19. As Singapore’s current prevalence of COVID-19 is low, most of the ART positive cases would test negative under the more accurate PCR test (i.e. false positives), with only a small percentage that turn out to be truly COVID-19 positive.

  8. Will I get a full refund for my tickets if I have tested positive on both the ART and PCR test?
If you are unable to attend the event based on your pre-event testing result, a full refund will be issued upon submission of your ART and PCR results to box_office@marinabaysands.com by 19 December 2020. No refunds will be issued at the venue.

  9. What is the maximum number of guests allowed in a group to attend this event?
The maximum number of guests allowed per group is five (5). All five guests will be seated together if tickets are purchased in a single transaction. To ensure adherence to safe distancing measures, other ticket-holders will be seated at least one meter apart.

  10. How will you be ensuring that safe-distancing measures are adhered to during the event?
Safe distancing ambassadors as well as ushers will ensure safe distancing measures are adhered to before, during, and after the event.

  11. Is Sands Theatre a TraceTogether venue?
Yes, Sands Theatre is a TraceTogether venue, therefore all ticket holders must have the TraceTogether App/Token to check in via SafeEntry.  Other check-in modes, such as using a mobile device’s  camera, SingPass Mobile or other QR code reader apps, or using NRIC/FIN and other photo IDs, will not be accepted.

  12. What time do I need to arrive before the show?
Ticket holders are allocated an entry time with a window of 10 minutes depending on their zones to stagger entry for guests and reduce crowd congregation. Entry for latecomers will not be permitted until the next appropriate timing, and will be seated in a separate zone.

  13. Is photography allowed for this event?
Photography, video recording and audio recording are strictly prohibited during the performance.

  14. Will you have a cloak room available in case I need to deposit some of my belongings?

  17. Will I be able to use the restroom during the event?
Concert attendees can access restrooms at the venue during the event, and Safe Distancing Ambassadors and ushers will be on site to ensure there is no crowd congregation. However, we encourage attendees to use the restroom before the start of the event to avoid long queues or waiting time.

  18. Must I remain at the venue till the end of the show?
